Mayu Sauvignon Blanc

16.95

From the driest desert on earth come the exceptional wines from Vina Mayu. Founded in 2005 by the Olivier family, the Elqui Valley lays in Northern Chile. With clear skies and high elevation, the name Mayu comes from the Inca word for the Milky Way’s “river of stars”. The region is famous for star-gazing and the Olivier family is determined to make it famous for wine.

If you like New Zealand sauvignon blanc, then this wine is for you! The grapes are hand-picked and pressed, with the juice aging on their lees for 6 months. Lees-aging adds texture, complexity and rounds out any sharp edges. You get all the classic notes here including gooseberry, grapefruit, and fresh cut grass. A perfect wine for enjoying on the deck after an intense day of yard work or alongside a wide range of seafood.
