2018 Domaine du Haut Bourg Sauvignon Blanc $19.95: Gooseberry and pear dominate the nose with a beautiful briney quality that one might expect from a Loire Muscadet. This wine is a great pairing for seafood or the final nights of summer spent on the patio with friends.
2017 Storie di Vite Pinot Grigio $17.95: The summer may be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean patio season is. This pinot grigio is fresh, showing bright notes of citrus and orchard fruits with a thirst quenching minerality. It is really a no brainer for one’s patio sessions.
2017 Cave de Vendome Blanc $21.95: Cave de Vendome is made from a unique co-operative group of 39 different growers in the Loire Valley. Together they produce some spectacular, easy drinking wines using the varieties local to the area, in this case, a white from 100% Chenin Blanc. Honey suckle and apricot are balanced next to the mineral notes known of the great wines of the region.
2017 Cave de Vendome Rose $21.95 : This rose is made from a unique grape called Pineau D’Aunis, which grows abundantly in the area just North of Vouvray in Loire, France. It offers aromas of orange peel, grapefruit and spice with the most beautiful rose gold hue.
2015 Benjamin Darnault La Ripassa de Montagne $26.95: A French take on an Italian wine making technique involves the repassing through of the grenache grape skins during the wine making process to increase structure and concentration in this full-bodied wine. Benjamin Darnault has used this style to provide us with a full, inky wine with notes of plum, dark cherries and tobacco.
2015 Trecciano Chianti Colli Senesi $24.95: There are very few wines as well-known as Chianti and it’s no wonder when we can get options like this. Using 100% Sangiovese, this wine provides notes of ripe cherries along with that classic earthy and rustic flair. Enjoy with the usual suspects for Italian cuisine or by itself on these cooler Summer nights.
2015 Quinta do Coa $23.95: From one of the oldest estates in the upper Douro Valley comes this beautifully blended wine made by Rui Roboredo Madeira. Using a blend of old vine indigenous varietals and 8 months in new and used French oak, this wine shows a silky ripeness and rich character.
2016 Jaume Syrah Family $24.95): A 100% Syrah from the incredible French wine maker Alain Jaume. This dark purple beauty has sweet scents of violets as well as black fruit with a palate full of blackberries and blueberries. It goes fantastic with charcuterie and grilled meats.
2017 Canaletto Pinot Noir $15.95: The Canaletto Pinot Noir is a Northern Italian easy drinking red, It is dry with high acid and has gorgeous flavours of stewed red fruits and black current. Beef and game meats go great with this easy drinking pinot.
2016 Shooting Star Cabernet Sauvignon $25.95: A bold cabernet from one of our favorite California producers Steele. The velvety texture and soft tannins of this wine brings pleasure to the palate while also delivering flavours of blackberry, black-cherry, and fig.
2012 Mayu Syrah $19.95: From one of the highest altitude wineries in South America, a Syrah that is crafted in the same style as wines of the Rhone valley in France. This wine is full bodied and silky and brings flavours of ripe fruit and pepper which pair well with a leg of lamb.
2017 Domaine de Boede Pavillon $21.95: Syrah and Alicante dominate in this Southern French blend, with a touch of the regions usual suspects – Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault. Flavours of pepper, licorice and black cherry are the perfect compliment to the cool evenings that lead us into Fall.
