2017 Vini Be Good Pinot Noir

2017 Vini Be Good Pinot Noir

Conceived by a group of French winemakers from the Loire Valley, Les Athletes du Vin is a negociant project focused on producing great wines of the region at a Tuesday-night price point. The grapes are coming from small vineyard growers throughout the area.

As you may know, pinot noir under $30 is nearly impossible to find. We search high and low to find wines expressive of their origin and alas, we found the perfect fit! From Touraine, a larger wine growing area in the Loire Valley, this little pinot has notes of sour cherry, violet and graphite. We recommend pairing this with beer can chicken or cedar planked salmon.

On a side note, the labels for Vini Be Good are designed by French cartoonist and illustrator Michel Tolmer, a lead artist in the French natural wine movement since the 1990’s. We love how fun these labels are. Sometimes wine shouldn’t be taken so seriously!
