Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, the Perret family has been settled in the village of Jongieux (Savoie, France) since 1927. 3 generations later, they are producing some of the tops wines of the region. An area more famous for skiing than wine, it is here that the lesser known grape varietals such as Mondeuse, Jacquere and Altesse are found. After studying in Burgundy, Nicolas Perret took over the management of the winery and strives to keep the true expression of the region alive through his wines.

If you haven’t had Mondeuse before, now is your chance! It is a grape variety sometimes compared to pinto noir, a bolder and more tannic pinot noir. Darker in the glass with more grip, it pairs perfectly apres-ski with a cheese board or, since it’s Summer time, apres-golf with with grilled steak.
